Seeking New Member Companies for MDG projects

The Mid-Atlantic Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce is seeking Norwegian and American companies with business interest in the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals projects. Business areas of particular interest are projects related to the United Nations Millennium Development Goal's http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/ and may include clean water, aqua culture, agriculture, energy, communication, and education programs.

Among the 8 MDG priority areas to reduce poverty is provision of water and sanitation a first step out of poverty, and access to safe drinking water and sanitation is a cornerstone of any poverty reduction strategy. The Chamber's focus is currently on water related projects including clean drinking water, aqua culture and agriculture with energy, communication and education as incorporated elements for operation of water related projects.

We believe that a strong group of companies, that can cover the entire range of professional expertise related to the mentioned projects, will improve the member's capabilities to compete for contracts of complex and large projects related to building of utility systems and to successfully develop projects to secure sustained development.
