NACC MA energy Seminar 2007
November 29, 2007

The Chamber's second annual energy seminar was held on November 29, 2007. The seminar titled "Carbon Emission Reduction and Clean Energy Development" focused on the growing body of carbon emission reduction methodologies and technology projects to curb climate change. Ambassador Wegger Christian Strommen (pictured) gave the introductory remarks and highlighted the importance of carbon emission reduction.

Seminar objectives were to improve understanding of methodologies available and potentials of reducing emissions and provide a platform for exchange of experience and views between presenters and participants as well as the opportunity for interacting with business representatives from Norway and USA.

The seminar follow the success of last year's joint NACC MA and Embassy LNG seminar, attended by members, government and industry representatives and included the Norwegian Christmas tree lighting ceremony and the Embassy reception as part of the Norwegian Christmas at Union Station event attended by more that 450 guests.
