The purpose of the meeting, jointly organized by NACC MA and the Royal Norwegian Embassy, was for NACCMA to present an overview of its organization and offer NHO a strategic teaming agreement to assist Norwegian SME's eager to enter the sizable U.S. Federal Government Procurement Market. This market may have a significant potential for Government Contracting Opportunities for Norwegian companies in partnership with U.S. firms. In this context NHO offered to act as a resource for NACC MA and American companies seeking Norwegian market access.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for the Chamber, as a premier business forum for Norwegian and US member companies engaged in international trade and market expansion, to market its new strategy focusing on creating competitive advantages in the U.S. Federal Government Procurement Market for US and Norwegian members through:

• Strategic networking opportunities
• Value-added business programs
• Access to business, government and policy level decision makers

The presentation about a typical value-added program topic included "How To Successfully Develop Business in Washington". The presentation was followed by a discussion about "What We Can Accomplish Together". Highlights of the discussion included:

• Creation of Business Partnerships & Joint Ventures for NHO members and our Business Forum in Washington DC
• Establish Mentoring Relationships between US based corporations and Norwegian companies wanting to enter the US market, and to
• Provide a Gateway for Commercial Opportunities in the US Market:

• Defense, Homeland Security, IT, Life Science Sectors…
