The meeting started with a presentation by Erling Wang, and Colonel Knut Bjorn Hovland focusing on the political and operational defense related responsibilities at the Embassy. The meeting included discussions of the committee's activities and included meetings such as breakfast, luncheons and reception during the upcoming visit by the Deputy Minister of Defense, the Parliament's Defense Committee and the Minister of Defense.
A short presentation was given by the various defense contractors' current involvement in the U.S and with the Norwegian armed forces. The contractors, in general, expressed interest in closer business cooperation with Norwegian defense contractors on commercial and competitive basis.
The meeting had an impressive group of representatives from world leading defense contractors and included Lockheed Martin, EDO Corporation, Boeing, Raytheon and Rolls Royce. The following individuals attended the meeting.
