The Bank & Finance Committee (B&FC) met on February 19, 2004 at 7:30 pm to
discuss finance-related ideas for NACC member meetings and other topics of
interest. The committee chairman Knud Ross hosted the meeting that took
place at his home in Bethesda.

| Summary of Discussions |
|
The committee first discussed the possibility of having NACC MA membership meetings in 2004 where the main item on the agenda would be a financial topic. The committee than discussed a variety of issues including pension and health insurance, managed care, development of NACC MA and methods to increase revenue, U.S. - Norway business opportunities in public-private international reconstruction and development projects including in Afghanistan, Iraq and Sudan, B&FC committee as a knowledge resource group, business opportunities, "Innovation Norway" and its new goals, the importance of network building and cooperation between local and regional chambers like Capitol Hill and AMCHAM. It was agreed to have a NACCMA membership meeting about "The Norwegian Economy" in April or September. The Chair undertook the task to find an engaging speaker for this meeting.
