The purpose of the committee is to promote Norwegian and U.S members interests in the IT and communication sectors and keep abreast of developments in the information technology sectors in the United States and Norway, and to focus on business opportunities for members in the IT, telecommunication and related sectors.

The committee consists of members with professional expertise and experience in the information technology, telecom and related sectors and host meetings and seminars with high level governmental and private sector representatives from U.S and Norway.

The committee will maintain a network of relevant contacts with the Embassy, Norwegian and U.S. politicians, telecommunication companies, computer information systems and service providers, associations, research environments, and technology developers and related sectors. The network is expected to create broad basis for development of goodwill, effective bridge building, and business relations in the information technology, telecom, and related sectors.
