The objective of the Banking and Finance Committee is twofold: The Committee shall act as an information resource for the membership within the area of finance as described below. The Committee shall also act as a forum for discussion of financial issues.

On the one hand the Committee shall assist members and others wishing to establish contact with Norwegian and American financial institutions. The Committee shall also capitalize on its location in Washington, D.C. and draw on its membership working in the international financial institutions there to aid members in establishing appropriate contacts within the World Bank Group, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the IMF.

In addition, the Committee shall strive to act as a forum for discussion of financial issues tied to U.S. - Norwegian commercial relations as well as international financial issues that fall under the purview of the multilateral financial institutions located in Washington.
