The Government Relations Committee works to develop positive relationships with representatives of the U.S. and Norwegian governments, and to keep informed of public policy issues that could affect Norwegian-American economic and commercial relations.

The committee consists of members with extensive expertise and experience in government relations and public affairs. It hosts meetings with high-level government and private sector representatives and elected officials and maintains a network of contacts with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Norwegian and U.S. political leaders, government officials, and industry public policy professionals.

The Committee's network is intended to create a solid and broad base for the development of goodwill, effective bridge building, and better understanding of the governmental programs, policies, and regulations that can affect Norwegian-American business and commerce.
